We are all invited to the 2017 World Day of Prayer Service for our area, Friday, March 3, 2017, 7:00 at the Salvation Army Citadel, School Road and Ness. This year the service has been written by women in the Philippines. Judy Teichroew and Nancy Morris will be participating in the service representing Headingley.
Headingley and St. Charles have a tradition of meeting at the Chicken Chef on Portage at 5:30 to have supper before the service and everyone is welcome to join us.

Hi there…looking for a space to hold our quilting guild. Currently using Phoenix hall but not guaranteed to have it for the fall. Looking for an alternate just in case as we are having our biannual quilt show this fall at the North Hall and will need to have meetings for coordination. We are approximately 42 women who live in Headingley, St Fx, Elie, Charleswood, etc. We are willing to pay rent. We meet 2 saturdays a month during the winter and 2 Thursdays a month during the fall and spring.
Would love to have the rent benefit a local church or community by renting their basement for meetings. We also clean up after ourselves. Also open to new members.
Please contact Sandy Spence, 204 888-0938 (home evenings) or 204 782-5768 (cell phone)
Also known by Barbara Larkin (neighbour) and Susan and Bruce Dagg (personal friends)
    Thank you for your time!
